Saveur summer cookout 2015

On June 23rd, I was invited by Saveur to their Summer CookOut. I went there with Francesca (co-owner of TheCreativeShake), and in spite  of the rain, everything was amazing! We made an effort to sample all of the food in each booth.

The location, the Boat Basin Café, is a suggestive outdoor restaurant located in Riverside Park at the end of 79th Street on the Hudson River. Three areas compose the place: an open patio with a breath-taking view of the sunset over New Jersey, the Covered Rotunda section in the middle of the restaurant, and a circular open air area.

The event was divided in sections: drink, chefs, restaurants. I started with a mini cupcake made by Nielsen-Massey (I could’t start any other way!)  followed by a drink made by Lynnette Marrero using

The only thing I can say is: if you consider yourself a real foodie and happen to be around New York next year in June, don’t miss the chance to participate at the next CookOut! I’ll be there for sure, foodies!
