How can you go wrong by putting together ice cream with warm cookies? Baskin-Robbins has recently launched their new Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich and when they contacted me for a partnership, I couldn’t say no. Mixing and matching crazy flavors with different types of cookies? Hey, I’m there Baskin-Robbins 😉
Let’s start from the cookies, you can choose between four different flavors: Dark Chocolate Chunk, Double Fudge (one of my absolute favorites), White Chunk Macadamia Nut and, of course, Peanut Butter Chocolate. Of course I want the dessert I’m consuming to taste good, but we can’t forget about the importance of appearance as it’s the first thing that catches your eyes and interest in any dish. Moreover, let’s be honest, nowadays we take pictures of anything we eat with our iPhones and if we don’t like the result on our screen… well, we’ll still eat it ahahahah (At least I do that!). Now let’s begin with the fun part. I went to the closest Baskin-Robbins store and bought two different versions of the Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich, one single and one double (yes, for those gluttonous like me you can create tower made of ice cream and cookies!). I have to be honest, it took me quite some time to choose the right flavor… I wanted something colorful to combine with more natural shades and from there, start experimenting with the cookies and sprinkles!
The first Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich I made was a little over the top because I continued to add more ingredients and more color: Double Fudge Cookie, Strawberry Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookie, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and another Double Fudge Cookie + SPRINKLES!!!
I then started back from scratch, and decided to go with a mix of the various cookies paired with Rocky Road Ice Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge. Of course I didn’t eat all these Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches by myself (remember that I’m getting married in two months), I did what any good friend would do when you have plenty of tasty dishes at home ready to be consumed… I shared them with friends!
