MARM CAFE’ // NEW YORK

This is the first New York bakery review on this awesome new website! I’m really excited about this new adventure and you know better than me that in New York there are tons of bakeries… so it took me a while to find the first place to review… but I finally found it: Marm Cafè, a vintage place in the heart of the Lower East Side.
Style: Definitely vintage! You know, I am a super new Newyorker so I have to know and discover this city better, but I can totally say that I really love the Lower East Side! With its magic cafès, this is the right neighbourhood to start exploring.
My favourite: 1. Croissant with custard – crunchy dough, buttery but not too much, with an amazing candied crust. The custard is exquisite, the texture is soft and the flavor gives away that there isn’t too much egg. I love it! 2. Tarte with berries – this is one of my favorite desserts ever, from the smaller size to the large one. The custard is the same of the croissant and the crust is crumbly and perfectly baked, topped fresh berries.
I like…: Beyond the pastries, definitely the interior design! The chairs are all different and the brick wall is so New York! Never forget WiFi, one of the most important thing if you are a freelancer and you have to work in cafes!
Where: Lower East Side – 79 Clinton St, New York, NY 10002
